Veteran actress, Sophie Ndaba-Lichaba is out to collect what she deserves in the latest comeback after recovery from diabetes.

The actress’ come-back had long been stalled by a series of reported hospital visits due to the chronic illness.

This time around, she has scored a lead role with SABC 1’s drama series, Family Secrets which is set to start airing for season two.

She is not only playing a lead role here but is the boss of the show.

The experienced actress also revealed that she was called in to help with the cast as the associate producer of the show due to her wealth of experience in the industry.

Sophie Ndaba made a banging comeback last year during the Covid-19 induced lockdown where she made a sterling performance on Mzansi Magic’s Lockdown. She played shortly Palesa, a broken nurse at Kgotsong Asylum.

This was her first TV role in years after leaving Generations back in 2011.

After battling the illness and defying death, she is once again back on or small screens with a leading role.

And Mzansi will be reminded once again of her acting prowess and professionalism – this time for a long run.

Another win for the veteran actor is her new international business venture that she has revived with her two childhood friends.

She revealed that she started a company called Golden Group with her friends and are focusing on arranging to-norch weddings for private clients.

This, while her daughter Rudo will be doing low budget weddings.

She is targeting wedding venues in Mauritius, Mozambique and Zimbabwe among many.

Speaking about her recovery, Sophie expressed how grateful she is to be alive after so many media reports of her death.

“I’m thankful because I’m now closer to my creator more than ever before. Without all that in the past, I wouldn’t be me I am now. I know exactly where I am and where I’m going. They plotted death with trending threads, but my God’s mercy said no,” said Sophie.
