AKA Murder Case Latest: Suspect Lindani Ndimande Explains Why He Was at Restaurant
One of the individuals accused of murdering rapper AKA and his celebrity chef friend Tibz has provided an explanation for his presence at Wish Restaurant on that fateful day.
In February 2023, AKA and Tibz were tragically shot outside the now-closed Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban.
The police believe that AKA was the intended target, while Tibz was an unfortunate victim caught in the crossfire. Seven men, ranging in age from 21 to 36, have been charged in connection with the murders. During a court appearance, Lindani Ndimande, one of the suspects, shed light on why he was present at the restaurant when the two friends were killed.

According to a report by Sowetanlive on X (formerly Twitter), Ndimande claimed that he had arranged a date at Wish restaurant on Friday, February 10, 2024. However, the woman he was supposed to meet never showed up.
“Lindokuhle Ndimande, one of the accused in the killing of music megastar AKA and his friend, chef Tebello “Tibz ” Motsoane, says he was on a date at Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on the day of the murder but the woman never arrived.”
