Bafana Bafana legend Siyabonga Nomvethe is showing his other talent and is now an actor after recently joining one of Mzansi’s biggest soapies.

Sooner than later, Nomvethe will join Uzalo’s cast and showcase his hidden talent. Sources close to the development told the Daily Sun that “Bhele” has already signed his contract with Uzalo and will soon be on television.
A fellow cast member on Uzalo said Nomvethe has already started shooting his scenes. He added:
“We were all shocked when we saw Nomvethe on set. We didn’t know he was joining us. At first, when we saw him in the studio, we thought he was visiting someone. The next thing, he was in front of cameras, shooting some of the scenes. We were stunned. Working alongside a global legend like him is truly remarkable.”
Nomvethe will feature on SABC 1’s biggest soapie, Uzalo, for an entire year. His character will be working with Njinji (portrayed by Thembi Nyandeni). He will help coach her football team, another insider at Uzalo disclosed.
“It’s moments like these that make me cherish my job even more. To work with legends I’ve admired on TV and who have achieved greatness in their careers is thrilling. Nomvethe is incredibly humble and eager to learn. We’re honoured to have him,” the source beamed.

The Former Footballer And SABC1 Speak
The publication called Siyabonga Nomvethe to confirm that he is now an actor, and he referred all questions to Uzalo. He said he could not talk about the details of his contract with Stained Glass Productions, which created the soapie.
Without explicitly referring to Nomvethe, the SABC1 soapies’ spokesperson Nomfundo Zondi revealed that Uzalo does have new faces:
“Among the newcomers are individuals who are well-known in the sports arena. The soccer team storyline will introduce popular and exciting characters.”
