Bitter Muvhango Viewer Beats Up Muvhango’s Imani For Being A Homewrecker On The Show
Muvhango’s talented actress Zonke Mchunu who portrays Imani on the SABC 2 daily drama had one of her worst days not so long ago after getting beat up in public by a fan of the show.
A bitter watcher accused her or being a homewrecker on the show and wanted to discipline her for that.
Zonke Mchunu plays Imani who is currently dating James. She is the reason why James broke his engagement to Marang.
This is not the first time the actress has been given such a difficult task on the show. She has broken 2 more marriages before, including that of her cousin Thandaza, who used to be played by Sindi Dlathu.
It seems like fans of the show were bitter about how Imani came between the two’s love affair.
On the said day when Zonke was attending to her business at a mall, a lady came rushing at her, questioning her for her involvement in her screen role.
The lady who seemed not to understand the difference between real life and screen roles left Zonke Mchunu scratched on her left eye after the encounter.
She had to leave the mall puzzled with what had just happened to her.
The actress opened up to Sunday World over the incident.
She said she thought the lady was a fan who wanted to take a picture with her only to discover later that the lady meant to hurt her.
At first, I laughed because I thought it was someone who liked the show, was referring to my character. Little did I know she meant business. I was still shaking. I just froze, it is only when she nearly poked my eye, that I realised this lady means business. I was lucky when a gentleman approached and asked what was going on,” the actress claimed.
