Attending the 2024 State of the Nation address at Cape Town City Hall, the Grammy Award winner was accompanied by his son Anesu, whom he shares with actress Enhle Mbali.
Despite wearing a neck collar, Black Coffee showed remarkable progress as he was able to walk unaided.

Prayers and Well Wishes Pour in for DJ Black Coffee
Support and well wishes poured in for the DJ and producer after news of his accident surfaced in early January. His team disclosed details of the incident via social media, explaining that Black Coffee, whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo, was en route to a scheduled show in Mar del Plata, Argentina when the severe travel accident occurred.
“The incident resulted in unforeseen complications and left him with injuries. We can confirm he is receiving the best possible medical attention and is surrounded by family and team [members]. In respect of his privacy, we kindly request understanding and patience from the media and his fans,” a statement said.

Mobi Dixon Receives Medical Attention Following Near-Fatal Car Accident
Meanwhile, music producer and DJ Mabi “Mobi Dixon” Ntuli is currently receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital after being involved in a nearly fatal car accident. On Wednesday, Mobi Dixon’s management issued a statement on his X (formerly Twitter) to inform the public about the distressing news. While they assured everyone that he was receiving top-notch medical care, they refrained from providing specific details about the accident.
Given the circumstances, Mobi Dixon’s management kindly requested privacy for the artist, both from the media and his fans, in order to facilitate his recovery. Consequently, all of his upcoming shows have been canceled until further notice, allowing him to focus on his healing process.
