Drip Footwear Faces Financial Hurdles

The past week has seen Lekau Sehoana and his brand, Drip Footwear, making headlines due to financial difficulties. The company, which was once a trailblazer in the local footwear industry, has now been declared insolvent. Despite these challenges, Sehoana continues to receive support from his close-knit circle of celebrity friends.

Lekau Sehoana, a qualified civil engineer, ventured into the retail industry when he opened the first Drip Footwear store in 2020. His brand quickly rose in popularity, attracting collaborations with notable figures, such as Cassper Nyovest, with whom he signed a lucrative R100 million partnership in 2021. Additionally, his social circle boasts well-known personalities like Anele Mdoda and Oskido.

However, his wife, who started the company with him, has been vocal about him wanting to throw her out of the business. Lekau has yet to respond to the allegations during his divorce proceedings.
