Two months have passed since the scheduled Burna Boy concert in Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg was abruptly cancelled. Recent developments reveal that Gregory Wings, the US investor who generously contributed millions to the event and allegedly fell victim to fraud orchestrated by Ternary Media Group’s CEO, Sedote Nwachukwu, has been acquitted of all charges.Gregory Wings, a prominent figure in the Nigerian-American business community, appeared at the Alexandra Magistrates Court, where he was formally cleared of all accusations. Meanwhile, Sedote Nwachukwu is now a wanted individual, facing fraud charges by Sandton police, Midrand police, and Interpol, according to Zimoja reports. The cancellation of the concert by Ticketpro due to unpaid service providers led to Sedote’s reported departure from the country.

Wings initiated a fraud case against Sedote, alleging significant financial losses from the partnership. According to an inside source, Sedote deceived Gregory into funding the concert, promising a return on investment. Instead, Gregory’s money, amounting to R9.1 million stolen from Ticketpro, vanished. The source revealed, “Sedote claimed partnership but only acted as a funder, leaving Gregory owed 1.6 million US Dollars, not in Rands.”
Zimoja further reports that Gregory is actively pursuing legal action against Ticketpro, First National Bank (FNB), and PR companies Cake Media, owned by Thabiso Tshabalala, and Khanya PR, owned by Helga Klizanie. The charges include defamation, extortion, and loss of income during frozen accounts. David Modise, Gregory’s lawyer, affirmed, “My client has commenced legal proceedings against Ticketpro, Cake Media, Khanya PR, and FNB. This ordeal has been incredibly traumatic for my client, who seeks justice.
