Call For Auditions On New TV Show
Some more great news is coming from Stained Glass TV, producers of Uzalo, who recently signed a 3-year extension contract for their SABC1 soapie.
The Uzalo production house owned by former president Jacob Zuma’s daughter; Gugulethu Zuma Ncube and Pepsi Pokane has announced that it’s holding auditions for an upcoming weekday Telenovela, which is currently in its pre-production stage.
Stained Glass TV is well known for its open policy when it comes to hiring actors for their shows.
Instead of hiring familiar faces, Stained Glass gives a chance to aspiring and upcoming actors for their shows.
This is evidenced by the Uzalo cast which comprises first-time actors like Thuthuka Mthembu, who plays Nonka, who had never appeared on TV before she scored a role on the telenovela.
Stained Glass took to social media to announce the news writing
STAINED GLASS TV IS HOSTING OPEN AUDITIONS FOR AN EXCITING NEW DAILY DRAMA.
TO AUDITION SEND YOUR NAME, A HEAD-SHOT AND FULL-LENGTH PHOTO OF YOURSELF TO THE ABOVE EMAIL.
They added that only the first 200 applicants will be considered and seen by the casting directors.
Stained Glass Productions is jointly owned by former president Jacob Zuma’s daughter Gugu Zuma-Ncube and Kobedi “Pepsi” Pokane
It’s also responsible for bringing shows like Uzalo, eHostela Ifalakhe, and the more recent medical drama Durban Gen.
Gugu Zuma Ncube previously spoke about the whole experience of storytelling saying
Over the years I’ve honed how to tell these stories in the most dramatic and creative ways possible and also how to work with other people as well. I don’t think any one person can have all the best ideas and so using other people to bring in elements that might be in my blind spot makes everything stronger.
