Tshidi Ntlai, an employee at Capitec Bank’s branch in Sterkspruit, Eastern Cape, South Africa, has come under scrutiny for her alleged involvement in a financial scam. A man with a visual impairment had approached her at the bank, seeking her assistance in processing his substantial provident fund withdrawal of R112K.

Seizing the opportunity, the Capitec employee reportedly assisted the man and subsequently embezzled the entire R112K.

An outraged X user shared:

“Her name is Tshidi Ntlai from Sterkspruit she works at the Capitec Branch. She scammed a blind man she was helping with his last providential fund R112K. That man trusted her with finances, and Capitec Sterkspruit did nothing about it.”
