South African model Chidimma Adetshina is poised to win the Miss Universe Nigeria following weeks of intrigue.
Chidimma Adetshina pulled out of the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant after a social media uproar over her South African citizenship. Miss Universe Nigeria took note of the attacks on Chidimma, who has a Nigerian father and invited her to participate in their contest.

Chidimma Adetshina Leading Miss Universe Nigeria
Chidimma accepted the invitation from the Miss Universe Nigeria organisers:
“I have decided to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria beauty pageant. I understand the expectations and responsibilities that come with this title, and I am so excited to embark on this journey. I want to say thank you for this opportunity, and I am looking forward to participating in Africa’s most prestigious pageant, Miss Universe Nigeria.”
The South African will battle it out against 24 other models for the crown. Days after entering the pageant, Chidimma is a favourite to win the competition.
The stunning beauty has garnered 10,504 votes, which is 22.82% of the total. Hot on her heels is Edeifo Aikhuele, who has 15.9%, while Fortune Kurobo is in third place at 7.1%. Check out the votes here.
