As Mzansi mourns the death of AmaZulu FC’s top striker, Bonginkosi Ntuli, an alleged side chick has caused quite a stir on social media after publicly mourning him.
AmaZulu Striker Dies
AmaZulu FC top striker, Bonginkosi Ntuli died on Sunday. He succumbed to cancer at the age of 32.

The news of Ntuli’s passing was confirmed by AmaZulu Football Club. In a statement, the club announced;
“With heavy hearts, we announce the untimely departure of our cherished centre-forward and dedicated servant, Bonginkosi Ntuli. He was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer that eventually spread and led to his passing at the Midlands Medical Centre Private Hospital in Pietermaritzburg this afternoon.”
What makes his death even more heart-wrenching is that Bonginkosi Ntuli had tied the knot with the club’s CEO, Sinenjabulo Zungu, just two months ago in a lavish wedding ceremony in September.
Bonginkosi Ntuli Alleged Side Chick Sparks Controversy
Amid the mourning for the late footballer, controversy erupted when an alleged side chick, Thobe Mkhize, posted several pictures of herself with the deceased soccer star. In her heartfelt message, she wrote,
“Yhooo!! I don’t know where to start 💔💔💔💔💔😔😔😔, I’m so speechless 😶. Rest well MPHEMBA.”
She went further to emphasize that Bonginkosi was her brother to her.
“NB!!! U BHut WAM Bakithi nina💔”
However, this claim raised eyebrows on social media, as many found it inappropriate considering the cosy nature of their photos together.
