Dawn Thandeka King has bid goodbye to Uzalo fans after she filmed her last episode on the show.

The news that Dawn Thandeka King, who plays Lindiwe aka MaNgcobo was leaving Uzalo, has been doing rounds for a while.

This time the actress has decided to say goodbye to the role she played for 7 years

Dawn Thandeka King took to Instagram to share her farewell ceremony by the Uzalo cast and crew and she thanked everyone for making it happen

“End of an amazing Era. Thank you Stained Glass TV and SABC1 for everything. I will miss MaNgcobo and I will miss everyone who opened their hearts to me. It’s been a beautiful journey. Till we meet again,”

Uzalo has had to say goodbye to some of its big stars, who include Siyabonga Shibe, who plays Qhabanga, Baby Cele who played Gabisile, Jet Novuka police officer Captain Mpambani and now Dawn Thandeka King.

Uzalo executive producer Mmamitse Thibedi wished all of them well in a statement saying

Dawn Thandeka King will be starring in new series Diep City, created by award-winning producer of Lockdown, Mandla N.

Nomsa Philiso, director of local entertainment channels at M-Net spoke briefly about Diep City and it looks like it’s going to a great show.
