Lynn Forbes, the mother of the late rapper AKA, has shared her reflections on Instagram regarding her feelings after losing her son three months ago.

LYNN FORBES REFLECTS ON LOSING HER SON

After AKA won four awards at the Metro FM Music Awards held on May 6th in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, his family had a celebratory weekend.

His parents, Lynn and Tony Forbes, as well as his daughter Kairo Forbes, accepted the awards on his behalf and later brought them to his grave.

However, just a few days later on May 10th, which marked three months since the rapper was fatally shot in Durban, Lynn Forbes took to Instagram to share her thoughts and emotions.

She revealed that it was a tough day for her and that she struggled to participate in daily life.

“Then, there are days like today. I just can’t participate in life 💔,” she wrote.

HOW LYNN FORBES FOUND OUT THAT AKA WAS SHOT DEAD

In an interview with You, Lynn Forbes, AKA’s mother, was in the company of her sister Trudy and brother-in-law Trevor when she received the devastating news of her son’s passing.

Lynn’s youngest son, Steffan, contacted Trevor at around 10 PM that night.

As Trevor sat next to Lynn and put his arm around her, she knew it was bad news, initially assuming it was about her own mother.

“I thought it was my mom. At first, he couldn’t speak, then he said, ‘No, it’s Kiernan,” she said.
