Debt Drama: ‘Broke’ Makhadzi Resorts to Free Performance to Pay Back Show Organizer After Pulling a No-Show
In a desperate bid to confront her mounting debt, music sensation Makhadzi has found herself entangled in a harrowing debt drama.
Following a regrettable no-show incident that left the show organizer fuming, the ‘broke’ artist has resorted to an act of sheer desperation – offering a free performance as a last-ditch effort to repay her debt.
Makhadzi’s Debt Drama
The debt drama unfolded when Makhadzi failed to make an appearance at the White Lifestyle gig at Kempton Park on April 30 after being paid R80 000 by the organizers of the event.
The Ghanama hitmaker no-show left fans disappointed and the organizer burdened with financial repercussions.
Makhadzi, who recently severed ties with her record label, Open Mic Productions, amidst a dispute over unpaid earnings, was hit with a demand letter from the organizers of the ill-fated event, Zimoja reveals.
They sought repayment of the hefty sum she had received, pushing her into a tight spot. Struggling with financial woes, the songbird confessed her inability to fulfill the payment, leaving the organizers in a quandary.
After she got the letter of demand from organizers, she told them that she won’t be able to pay as things are not looking good for her financially at the moment,” a reliable source revealed.
Makhadzi’s request to negotiate a payment plan was unceremoniously rejected, ultimately leaving her with the arduous task of seeking redemption through a free performance.
She is set to perform at the Exclusive White Spring Picnic, scheduled to take place at the picturesque Dries Niemandt Park in Kempton Park on the 2nd of September.
