Disbarred Advocate Malesela Teffo Accuses Chicco Twala of Threatening to Hire Hitmen to Kill Him
Advocate Malesela Teffo has accused renowned music mogul Sello “Chicco” Twala of making death threats against him.
Teffo opened a case of intimidation after a phone call last week, in which he alleges Twala threatened to send hitmen (izinkabi) to kill him. Teffo has called for Twala to explain his actions in a court of law.

Teffo Seeks Legal Accountability for Threats
Speaking to Zimoja about the incident, Teffo expressed that he doesn’t want to dwell on the details as the matter is in the hands of the police. However, he emphasized that he wants Chicco Twala to answer for the threats in court.
“I don’t know why Chicco would want me dead, but I want him to explain in court,” Teffo said.
According to sources, the conflict arose when Teffo was allegedly asking Twala for money.
Investigation Ongoing, No Arrests Yet
Gauteng police confirmed that a case of intimidation and crimen injuria has been opened at the Lyttelton Police Station. Colonel Mavela Masondo, a police spokesperson, revealed that the investigation is ongoing, with no arrests made as of yet.
“Investigation is underway and no arrests have been made yet,” Masondo said.

Chicco Twala Dismisses Allegations, Questions Teffo’s Motives
In response, Chicco Twala dismissed the allegations, suggesting that Teffo’s behavior warrants a mental evaluation.
“Every week, he’s opening cases against someone. If it’s not me, it’s Cyril Ramaphosa,” Twala stated, expressing doubt about the credibility of the accusations.
He suggested that Teffo must prove the claims in court, warning that he would not entertain what he called “madness.”
