Veteran broadcaster, who is also DJ Fresh’s ex-wife, Thabiso Sikwane, has died, leaving her South African fans heartbroken.
Thabiso, who is a prolific radio and television personality, passed on today, Saturday, 31 August. She was 50.

Her family confirmed:
“It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of Thabiso, whose dedication and passion for Christ, family life and the Media & Entertainment industry left an indelible mark on colleagues and audiences alike.
During her illustrious career on Radio & TV, she produced, hosted and covered significant events, shaped narratives and inspired many. We are deeply saddened by this loss and pray her legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
“Memorial and funeral arrangements will be communicated in the coming days,” her family said in a statement.
Thabiso’s cause of death is yet to be revealed.
The veteran broadcaster worked for among others, SAFM, Kaya FA, YFM as well as Voice of Soweto.

The Last Encounter With DJ Fresh This Week
She was once married to radio personality DJ Fresh (real name Thato Sikwane). They have four children together and they divorced in 2022.
Just yesterday, 30 August 2024, her former hubby DJ Fresh published her episode on his WAW WHAT A WEEK YouTube Podcast.
DJ Fresh said:
“The last time we sat across each other on mics, we were doing a show together at YFM,”
Thabiso responded:
“The last time we sat across from each other when I was doing my show and you surprised me on Valentines Day for All You Need Is Love.”
Little did Fresh know this would be the last time seeing the former love of his life.
People on X expressed sadness after Thabiso Sikwane died.
