DJ Sbu Sounds Alarm: Lockdowns Looming Again and Offers Crucial Financial Advice

Renowned record producer DJ Sbu has stirred concern among South Africans by suggesting that lockdowns may make a comeback.

The former radio host, now a podcast presenter, took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts. DJ Sbu emphasized that it’s only a matter of time before lockdowns return to South Africa.

In March 2020, many countries, including South Africa, implemented quarantine measures and city-wide lockdowns in an effort to curb the spread of Covid-19. Although lockdowns have been eased in various places, The “Ingoma” hitmaker pointed out that lockdowns have already reemerged in other countries, making it likely that South Africa may follow suit.

He issued a disclaimer, clarifying that his warning was not an official announcement. DJ Sbu advised his followers to be cautious with their spending and to prepare for potential lockdowns.

“Lockdowns 2nd round soon. It’s happening overseas. Clearly sekunjalo. Get ready Hustlers. Don’t spend your money. Prepare your business for challenging times ahead. I might be wrong. This is not an official message, I’m suspecting & taking precautions. Just be responsible with your money guys,” DJ Sbu shared on his X account.

In response, some South Africans criticized DJ Sbu for causing unnecessary panic. Some suggested resisting future lockdowns, while others voiced concerns about the impact of past lockdowns. Here are some of the comments:

@JesseFJacobs:

They will try but I don’t think people will just accept it. A lot of people are already saying the last lockdown did more damage than good.

@MichaelBaker007:

I’m with you bro. The writing is on the wall. Instead of us bracing for it, we should simply not consent to the lockdown. Common law must be practiced here. If we all do not consent then there’s vokol they can do.

@Mkhungo_Sodi:

Bro on Saturday I was driving a Director of one of the well known Hospital in Durban , he said to me, we should get ready for Covid20 the Second Pandemic and he told me I must make sure that I don’t take a Vaccine!

@Don_Chorleone_:

This time, we will not comply! Enough is enough.
