DJ Zinhle’s Anxieties Rise Ahead Of Kairo Forbes’ First Father’s Day Without AKA
DJ Zinhle, real name Ntombezinhle Jiyane recently opened up about her feelings of anxiety regarding her daughter Kairo Forbes’ first Father’s Day without her father, the late rapper AKA.
ZINHLE ANXIOUS OVER KAIRO’S FIRST FATHER’S DAY WITHOUT AKA
According to Tshisa Live, DJ Zinhle, a mother of two, recently made the decision to cancel her gig in Durban due to her emotional readiness.
The scheduled performance was supposed to take place at the Fact Durban Rocks event during the Durban July.
However, DJ Zinhle shared that she is not prepared to return to Durban at this time.
This difficult choice stems from the tragic incident that occurred on 10 February, where the father of her child, rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA, was fatally shot outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road.
AKA was supposed to perform at a gig that night before the unfortunate incident took place.
The publication also reports that DJ Zinhle is anxious over her daughter Kairo’s first Father’s Day without her dad AKA.
“What am I going to say to Kairo on Father’s Day?” she said according to the publication.
HOW KAIRO WILL BE SPENDING HER FIRST BIRTHDAY WITHOUT HER DAD
In an Instagram Story shared on Monday, 1 May, DJ Zinhle disclosed that her daughter Kairo expressed a desire for a trip to New York for her upcoming eighth birthday.
Kairo’s birthday falls on 8 July, which holds significance as it will be the first time she celebrates without her father.
“Kairo’s birthday trip to New York is going to be expensive. Send coins!!!” she wrote.
“My sweet girl has decided she wants to travel every year for her birthday as if there’s a birthday allowance that just drops from heaven,” she wrote.
