Doc Gone Rogue? Dr Nandipha Magudumana Sparks Controversy by Skipping Handcuffs on Shopping Spree
South Africans are outraged over a leaked video of Dr Nandipha Magudumana going shopping with no handcuffs.
Dr Nandipha Magudumana, the disgraced celebrity doctor and lover of convicted serial rapist and murderer Thabo Bester, is still in custody and filed papers to appeal a high court decision to dismiss her urgent application to declare her arrest and extradition as unlawful.
Dr Nandipha Accused Of Many Crimes
Dr Nandipha was arrested alongside Bester in Tanzania in April after they fled the country following Bester’s escape from the Mangaung Correctional Centre last year. They were brought back to SA with the help of Interpol and the police’s Crime Intelligence Unit.
Magudumana is accused of major offences, including assisting and abetting escape, murder in light of the several victims discovered, body violation, and fraud.
Magudumana applied to the Free State High Court in Bloemfontein to have her arrest and extradition declared unlawful, arguing that they violated international law and her constitutional rights. However, Judge Philip Loubser dismissed her application last week, finding that Magudumana consented to be brought back to the country and that her rights were not infringed.
Dr Nandipha Shopping With No Handcuffs
After her court appearance yesterday, an alert South African spotted her disembarking from a police van with no handcuffs.
In the video shared by Maphephandaba on Instagram, Dr Nandipha was carrying groceries as she walked freely unshackled. Watch the video below.
