This individual initially offered to assist the grieving family by ensuring the safe transport of Mapaputsi’s remains from Durban, where he had passed away, to Johannesburg at no financial cost to the family.
Friend’s Offer Turns Into Extortion Attempt On Mapaputsi’s Family
What seemed a compassionate gesture quickly turned sour when the family later discovered that this friend allegedly sought to profit from the situation. According to reports, the family was pressured to use a funeral service handpicked by a friend. When the family chose to refuse, the friend allegedly issued a disturbing request, warning that they would not be able to receive the body unless they complied.
