Lekau Reported Ex-Wife After Finding Out Murder Plot Over Drip Footwear
Lekau had filed cases against Machaba, claiming that he had to leave the country for his own safety after she allegedly hired hitmen to take him out. The dispute between them centred around shares in his footwear company, which Machaba asserts she played a role in establishing while they were still together.
One of the alleged hitmen was arrested in Pretoria on various charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, extortion, impersonating a police officer, and illegal possession of a firearm. He admitted to meeting with Machaba, who allegedly offered him a sum of money to carry out the hit.
The hitman stated that he and his accomplice met with Machaba, who was driving a black BMW X4, and she identified herself as the owner of a well-known luxury footwear brand. She offered them a significant amount of money if they successfully killed her husband.
Machaba also requested that they provide her with a firearm for her protection. However, the planned attack did not occur as Lekau was informed and reported the situation to the authorities.
Lekau has refuted Machaba’s claims that she owns 50% of Drip Footwear and is an absent father. He maintains that he started the company after their separation and that they were not married in a community of property. Sehoana asserts that he financially supports Machaba and even purchased a BMW X6M Sports for her.
