Emtee Ran Away With SAFTAs Hired Costumes And Pulled A No-show For The Awards, Details Emerge
South African rapper, Emtee pulled a no-show on the 22nd of May where he was expected to perform for the virtual SAFTAs awards ceremony.
Emtee was supposed to perform alongside songstress, Ami Faku on their collabo, Lala Ngoxolo. This was a dedication to all loved once lost in the arts industry.
It is reported that Emtee did attend the recording as per agreement.
He, however, dissappeared just before the shooting started – and was already dressed in SAFTAs’ hired costumes.
The shooting was meant for a pre-recording that was broadcast live on SAFTAs virtual links on the 22nd of May.
From the broadcasted video, Ami Faku can be seen performing solo for a song the two were expected to perform together.
When reached about the said incident, SAFTAs management confirmed that indeed Emtee had pulled a no-show for them during the shoot – and with their clothes, without any word.
The management claims there were no problems with the payments or any he had brought up to them before his dissappearence, Phil Mphela says.
In his latest broadcast of The Entertainment Alert, Phil claimed that Emtee’s unprofessionalism was going to cost him his career.
