Enough is Enough! Lamiez Holworthy Takes a Stand Against Endless Money Requests From Fans
Popular South African DJ and radio presenter, Lamiez Holworthy, has taken a stand against the persistent requests for money she receives from strangers on the internet.
Lamiez Holworthy recently vented her frustrations on Instagram Stories, expressing her exasperation with individuals who approach her for financial assistance, expecting luxuries like iPhones, hospital bills, and even party expenses.
In a candid moment, Lamiez Holworthy addressed her followers, urging them to cease their money requests. She revealed that, just like anyone else, she too had her own bills to pay and responsibilities to fulfill, without anyone to rely on for support should things not go her way.
Lamiez Holworthy’s plea shed light on the pressures she faces, both personally and professionally.
“Please stop asking me for money. I, too, work really hard, have problems, bills, and responsibilities with no one to run to for pity. Even worse when you guys ask me for iPhones, parties, and to pay for private hospital bills,” she implored.
In her heartfelt rant, Lamiez Holworthy also opened up about the challenges she encounters behind the scenes. She shared her struggle with chronic migraines, which often make it difficult for her to perform at her best during gigs. Despite the pain and personal sacrifices, she emphasizes that her work is not just about having fun but involves hard work and dedication.
“Just because work looks fun, it does not mean it isn’t work. I deprive myself of so much to live comfortably and ensure my kids are okay. There are no sick notes in our field! You don’t work, you don’t get paid. I suffer from chronic migraines but show up EVERY SINGLE DAY-why? Coz no I gives a Damn!
STOP!!!!,” she emphasized.
Highlighting the realities of the entertainment industry, Lamiez Holworthy revealed that no sick notes or paid leave are available. If she does not work, she does not receive any compensation, making it crucial for her to keep pushing through despite her health challenges.
