The Controversy Surrounding Her Miss SA Journey
Chidimma’s participation in the Miss South Africa pageant was met with intense scrutiny. The controversy stemmed from a probe by the Department of Home Affairs, which revealed that her mother, originally from Mozambique, had fraudulently obtained a South African ID in 1995. Her father, on the other hand, is of Nigerian descent. These revelations led to widespread public discourse about her eligibility to compete in a national competition.
