Family Seeks Assistance To Cover The Funeral Of Musician Lizwi Wokuqala
Stanley Khoza, VP of The Association of Independent Record Companies (Airco), issued a statement on behalf of the family.
“Lizwi’s family was unable to bury him due to lack of funds. He was starting in the industry; he had not yet made money; he had just gained popularity as a promising upcoming talent. Any contribution/assistance will be highly appreciated. The planned day for the funeral is Sunday if all effort yields results. We are raising donations from any amount one can help with.”
“We have a bank account for his mother. We just need to cover the expense for the coffin, the undertaker, sound and food. Estimated around R100 000. I plead with all of you to assist in resolving this challenge for the family.”
The family has provided a bank account for donations:
- Bank: Standard Bank
- Account Holder: Bawelile Sishi (mother of the deceased)
- Account Number: 20 584 287 9
