Adrian Alper’s versatility as an entertainer propelled him to success across various roles in the entertainment industry. He established himself as an accomplished actor, director, writer, comedian, voice artist, presenter, and M.C. One of his notable achievements was his leading role as Calvin in the SABC3 sitcom “Streaks” in 1995.

In addition to “Streaks,” Adrian showcased his acting prowess in other popular soap operas. He portrayed the character of Lesley in the SABC1 soapie “Generations” from 1993 to 1994, and he took on the role of Sharky in the SABC3 soapie “Isidingo” in 1999 and again in 2001. Adrian’s talent extended to various TV shows, including “Young Vision,” “Scoop Schoombie,” and “Plek van die Vleisvreters.”

Additionally, Adrian made significant contributions as a writer for both television and theater. His writing portfolio includes notable series such as “Streaks,” “Rainbow Starship,” “Generations,” “Pezoolies,” and “SOS.”

Throughout his extensive career, spanning over two decades, Adrian worked tirelessly in almost every aspect of the film and television industry. He contributed his skills in administrative roles, pre-production, on-set work (both in front of and behind the camera), post-production, and promotional activities.

In recent years, Adrian dedicated more of his focus to directing for television. He added notable directing credits to his name, including work on shows like “Isidingo,” “Backstage,” “Madam & Eve,” “Shado’s,” and “Scandal!”
