Tragic Loss: Former Idols SA Contestant Terra Cox Found Dead at Home
South Africa was met with a somber note as news spread of the untimely death of Terra Cox, a former standout contestant from the 12th season of ‘Idols South Africa’.
The talented singer, whose real name is Tersius Eathon Kocks, was reportedly found dead at his residence on Sunday, August 27, 2023, leaving fans and the music industry in shock.
Cause of death is currently not yet revealed, however it is reported that Terra Cox was suffering from depression.

The announcement of Terra Cox’s passing came through Alton Zakay Music, who shared their condolences through a statement circulated on social media.
“We want to express our sincere condolences. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. We hope that they find peace and comfort during this difficult time of bereavement,” read the statement.
The 35-year-old artist’s family also released a statement, confirming the tragic news and urging those who knew him to remember him with dignity.
“It is with painful sadness that we bid farewell to our beloved Terra Cox.So many of his friends, family and fans have sent condolences for which we as a family are very grateful. We thank each and every one of you. Please remember Terra as you knew him, no questions asked. Please keep his dignity intact,” the family’s statement read.

According to Sunday World, Terra Cox’s musical journey took a prominent turn after his appearance on ‘Idols SA’.
