‘Found him sitting with some girl’ DJ Zinhle Shares How She Met Murdah Bongz
The popular South African musician Bongani Mohosana, also known as Murdah Bongz or Mörda, celebrated his 36th birthday with an extravagant all-black themed party. The event, attended by close friends and family, was shared on Instagram on Thursday, June 8. During the party, DJ Zinhle took the stage and revealed the story of how she met her husband.
As DJ Zinhle addressed the party guests, she reminisced about the day she met the former Black Motion band member. She humorously said, “So this guy told me…arg, my gosh, now I have to perform in front of Black Motion. F*** my life. You know that day I told myself you are a star, my baby, you are going to perform my baby. So I went backstage and I found him sitting with some girl.”
DJ Zinhle and Murdah Bongz’s Relationship
Murdah Bongz and DJ Zinhle have a one-year-old child named Asante, who is DJ Zinhle’s second-born. Prior to her relationship with Murdah Bongz, DJ Zinhle was romantically linked to slain rapper AKA (Kiernan Jarryd Forbes), who tragically passed away earlier this year. The former couple had an on-and-off relationship but remained committed to co-parenting their daughter Kairo.
Since AKA’s untimely death, DJ Zinhle has maintained a close relationship with the Forbes family. This has drawn criticism from some fans, accusing her of disrespecting her current partner, Murdah Bongz. Responding to these accusations, DJ Zinhle expressed her belief in fostering positive relationships, stating, “I don’t get why South Africans are so scared of getting along. I think for a lot of South Africans, it would have given them so much comfort if Kiernan and I never got along.”
