From Beats to Eats: Mzansi Stunned as Kwaito Maestro Brickz Packs on Pounds In Jail

South Africans online are stunned by pictures of Kwaito maestro Brickz who seems to have packed on pounds in jail.

Why Brickz Was Jailed

Sipho Ndlovu, popularly known as Brickz, was sentenced to 15 years in prison in 2017 for raping a 17-year-old relative in 2013. He was found guilty by the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court after a lengthy trial that started in 2014.

The victim testified that she was bleeding and in pain after the rape and that Brickz threatened to kill her if she told anyone. She also contracted a sexually transmitted disease from him.

Bricks is currently serving his term at the Leeuwkop Correctional Services Centre, where he has joined a church choir and enrolled in public relations and entrepreneurship courses. He has also studied engineering and completed a short course on smart management and rehabilitative training.

There were rumours that Brickz was released from prison early in March 2022, but his family or lawyer did not confirm this.

Brickz Looks Buff In Jail

A picture from Leeuwkop Correctional Services Centre has made it to Twitter and impressed South Africans online.

In the picture, Brickz stood amongst some of the inmates, holding a mic and speaking as they listened.

The Kwaito star was clad in orange prison pants and a tucked-in white t-shirt with a bigger and more muscular frame. The t-shirt tightly gripped his firm biceps, showing that he has been packing up in prison.
