In a testament to the enduring brilliance of the late rapper, AKA, his legacy continues to radiate even beyond the realms of life.
On Wednesday, 14th June, AKA’s record label, Vth Season, bestowed his family with prestigious gold and platinum plaques in recognition of his latest album, “Mass Country.”
AKA, known by his birth name Kiernan Forbes, tragically lost his life in February 2023, when he was shot and killed on Florida Road in Durban, just weeks prior to the album’s release.
Vth Season aptly described “Mass Country” as a powerful testament to AKA’s unparalleled talent and profound impact on both the music industry and the hearts of his devoted fans.
Raphael Benza, the head of Vth Season, proudly acknowledged the remarkable success of “Mass Country” by highlighting the music industry’s recognition of the album.
He revealed that several tracks from the album had received esteemed gold and platinum certifications, a testament to their immense popularity and achievement.
Dangerous featuring Nadia Nakai and Blxckie, Mbuzi (Freestyle) featuring Thato Saul and Prada featuring Khuli Chana were certified gold, while Company featuring Nigerian record producer KDDO was certified platinum.
Lemons (Lemonade) featuring Nasty C was certified four times platinum since its release in September 2022.

AKA Murder Accused Also Linked To Nelli Tembe’s Tragic End
In the most recent update, a significant breakthrough has been achieved by the police in the murder investigation involving the renowned rapper AKA, known by his real name Kiernan Forbes.
According to a report from City Press, there have been further shocking developments in the murder investigation of AKA.
One of the murder suspects has been linked to the artist, and intriguingly, the same suspect was allegedly present during the tragic incident involving AKA’s fiancée, Anele “Nelli” Tembe, who passed away two years ago.
The tragic events unfolded on 11th February 2023 when AKA and his friend Tebello Tibz Motsoane were fatally shot in Durban.
Additionally, on 10th April 2021, Nelli Tembe tragically fell from the 10th floor of a hotel in Cape Town, losing her life. During that time, Tembe was accompanying AKA to a performance in the city.
