From Soap Drama to Real-Life Trouble: Sthembiso “SK” Khoza In Hot Water For Allegedly Violating UK Laws

South African actor and musician Sthembiso “SK” Khoza has been accused of violating UK laws after he was allegedly assaulted by his fiancée, Choice Kate Mathebula, in England.

Assaulted By His Fiance Choice Mathebula

According to Daily Sun, Khoza was hospitalised in England after Mathebula allegedly beat him with various objects, including a spatula, a tin opener and a knife. The actor revealed that the altercation ensued over a female acquaintance.

Khoza claimed that he sustained injuries all over his body, including two broken knees, a swollen upper lip, a bruised neck and a cut ear.

Khoza revealed the shocking news through a now-deleted live video on his Instagram page. He said that he wished his mother had been there when the incident took place and that he was not keeping quiet about the abuse.

He also alleged that Mathebula was bipolar and that he had recorded the whole incident to prove that he did not fight back. He also said that he wanted to set an example for other men who are scared to report abuse by women.

SK Khoza Might Have Violated UK Laws

However, Khoza might have violated UK laws by filming and posting the video without Mathebula’s consent. According to the UK Data Protection Act 2018, it is illegal to process personal data without the consent of the data subject unless there is a lawful basis for doing so.

The act also states that personal data includes any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified by reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number, location data or an online identifier.

Therefore, Khoza could face legal consequences for breaching Mathebula’s privacy and data protection rights by exposing her name, location and online identifier without her consent. He could also face defamation charges if Mathebula denies his allegations and claims that he damaged her reputation by making false statements about her.
