Fun Fact: Skeem Saam Chef Marlene Is David Genaro’s Real Life Ex-Wife
Just a few days after we saw Rhythm City’s David Genaro serving couple goals with new bae, Rosa Onious we decided to look back into some of the gentleman’s interesting relationship history.
While digging, we uncovered that actress, Anne de Villiers who established her name on the acting scene at Generations, before its reboot, is David Genaro’s ex-wife.
Anne de Villiers, played by seasoned actress Camilla Waldman, was at one point one of TV’s best villains. Everyone had to watch their back around Anne because she was forever looking to strike.
She was forever scheming and planning.
Camilla Waldman played Anne De Villiers, the madame of a high-class brothel, on the original Generations from March 2004 to June 2008.
Camila Waldman was allegedly fired from Generations in October 2007, after producers decided they wanted to make way for new faces on the show
The actress once opened up that she didn’t plan to do the acting thing for a long time and when she joined Generations, she said she was only meant to be on the soapie for only three months, but managed to stay for four years playing Anne De Villiers.
She also appeared on Isidingo, Skeem Saam, Lithapo, On The Couch, The Hot Zone.
On Skeem Saam Camilla Walden played the obnoxious chef Marlene, a far cry from her other glamorous roles.

Camilla Walden and Jamie Bartlett have a son together, Hector and he’s all grown up now, done with university.
Sadly the couple went on divorce for reasons unknown, however, that didn’t stop them from working together.
Jamie Bartlett once starred alongside Camilla Waldman in Rhythm City as David Genaro’s Dr. Ongers.
