Generations’ Mrekza Brings Hollywood To Limpopo
In what serves as an act of giving back to the community, Generations: The Legacy’s Mrekza, born Kope “Tswyza” Makgae, has finally come through for his home province, Limpopo, with a new, first of its kind Limpopo film and TV studio.
Addressing the media, Mrekza said he is planning to bring Hollywood to Limpopo, a move which is believed to automatically expose the northern province to the world.
The multi-talented sensation will officially be launching Wyza Media Studios in Polokwane on 20 November.
The studio follows Wyza Media film academy he launched in Limpopo this January.
The actor, rapper and businessman is indeed street smart and a man of many talents.
His dream is to see his people shine in the entertainment industry.
Speaking to Daily Sun, Generations: The Legacy’s Mrekza said he aimed this project would take Limpopo to another level in the TV and film spectrum.
“There are many stories from Limpopo, but they’re filmed in other provinces because we don’t have the resources. That will soon change because of Wyza Studios.
For example, we have the Kruger National Park and people come and film documentaries here. They can hire equipment from us. They don’t need to bring their own.
I basically want to uplift Limpopo and teach them about the film and TV industry, hence the school and now the studio. I want to encourage people and teach them about my journey, give those who don’t have access to information help.
I also want to show people that I haven’t forgotten about where I come from,” said Mrekza.
