Generations’ Ntombi Ex Husband Made Her Quit The Show
Saucy onscreen scenes between former Generations actress, Sonia Mbele and Sibusiso Dlomo did no sit well with her ex husband, Lesile Sedibe, that she was forced to quit the show.
Sonia Mbele played the role of Ntombi, who was married to the cunning Sibusiso Dlomo played by veteran actor Menzi Ngubane.
Ntombi and Sibusiso Dlomo were one of Mzansi’s favourite couples and will go down as the best TV couple on Mzansi TV.
We can’t forget that one time Ntombi and Karabo hot clapped each other over Sibusiso.
Speaking on Phat Joe’s new show, Cheeky Palate, Sonia Mbele revealed that her ex hubby Lesile Sedibe, did not like the on-screen romance between Ntombi and Sibusiso and he even forbade her from watching herself on the show.
Sonia Mbele revealed that eventually, Lesile Sedibe made her quit the show and that is how Ntombi left Generations and it was a really heavy blow to the fans.
The actress revealed that her mother had to stage an intervention to try and save her from Lesile Sedibe, whom she said was very controlling.
Sonia Mbele has never been shy to talk about her marriage and eventually the messy divorce which followed afterwards.
The actress once admitted that she cried all day when she was served with the divorce papers.
“I suffered from panic attacks and anxiety breakdowns. I stressed about how to transition from the life I lived to a new one, where I was now alone. I was scared,”
Sonia Mbele was also hounded by the press after her divorce, with many alluding that she married Lesile Sedibe for the money, while some wrote she was broke and struggling after the divorce.
She also said she contemplated suicide at some point but the thought of her children made her strong.
The actress has shed that skin and it seems she has a mojo back now.
