Generations’ Sipho ‘Psyfo’ Ngwenya Gets Married
Despite news of former Generations actor Sipho ‘Psyfo’ Ngwenya’s marriage to his girlfriend of three years; Amirah Mirah this week, South Africans are still struggling to get over his past relationship with TV presenter and radio host; Hulisani Ravele.
Psyfo and Hulisani dated for 10 years but called it quits in 2017. Both Hulisani Ravele and Sipho ‘Psyfo’ Ngwenya were presenter on SABC1’s children’s TV show; YOTV and Wildroom.
Ngwenya proposed to his girlfriend in August last year, while baecationing in Zanzibar, and got married this month.
He tweeted images an hour ago of himself and his new wife: “Guess what mate!!!! Officially Mr. and Mrs. Ngwenya!!!!”
Ravele who’s a radio host on Joburg’s 94.7 broke her silence on the break-up a while ago and said her breakup with Ngwenya was even difficult on some of her family members.
“I’m very close to both sides of my family. I’m one of 39 first-generation grandchildren – and that’s just on my mom’s side! Even so‚ I didn’t speak to some family members for several months because they couldn’t accept our decision to end our relationship. I heard: ‘Just give him a chance’ more times than I could bear.”
Ravele whose also a businesswoman said there was no drama around their split and that they had just grown apart.
“Things happen and I guess we just grew apart‚” she added.
Ngwenya who is still defending trolls and dealing with angry fans about his split with Ravele told fans: “Please don’t be rude my sister. Let me live. You focus on your life and I will do mine‚” he said.
Ravele’s fans are still trolling Ngwenya’s new-found relationship years later and replied to the tweet of his images today of his new bride with:
“But we will never forget what you did. Congratulations!”
While another tweep defended Ngwenya by tweeting: “One would swear yall don’t have your own lives the way niphaphela izindaba zabanye abantu ngakhona. Just congratulate and keep it moving.”
There’s been no word from Ravele yet about the newlyweds.
