Sangoma and reality television star Gogo Maweni has left social media users shocked as her snakes bite her.

The traditional healer, whose real name is Makgotso Lee-Anne Makopo, is probably the most famous sangoma in Mzansi. She takes fans and the public into the ancestral world, and sometimes it unsettles many.
Her fame has also been propelled by her baby daddy drama. Gogo Maweni has babies with actor SK Khoza and footballer Siyabonga Zulu. At one point, she admitted on Podcast And Chill to bewitching them after they failed to be responsible for their children.

However, one of the factors spiralling her online popularity is her sangoma practice. Many people express reservations about how she carries out her business and claim it borders on witchcraft. Gogo Maweni has a collection of strange artefacts in her ancestral hut. She even keeps human bones and a monkey’s skeleton in it.
As if that’s not enough, Gogo Maweni also keeps owls and snakes in her home. She takes care of these as her pets and even sleeps in her bed with them.
Gogo Maweni Wails As Her Snakes Bite Her
The sangoma owns at least five snakes, including a cobra, a python, and a mamba. She often posts videos and pictures of her snakes on social media, showing how she cuddles, feeds, and watches TV with them. She claims that her snakes are her pets and are not used for any ritual purposes.
However, the snakes she loves recently bit her. Gogo Maweni was seemingly caressing one of the snakes while holding it. The reptile then struck and sunk its teeth at the back of her hand so much that she bled.
Gogo maweni took to her X account to show the extent of the snake bite, and she wailed, “Snake bites 😫😫”
