Zimoja reported that Maseiso Kokama, 64, was sent to prison together with hitmen Monokwa Malewu, 26, and Moeketsi Lesuhlo, 47.

The High Court found Kokama guilty of orchestrating the murder of her ex-lover’s girlfriend, Nonzame Hondwana. The court heard how Kokama, consumed by jealousy, paid R20,000 to have Hondwana killed after learning of her relationship with Dingaan Dlamini, Kokama’s former partner. Gogo Kotama had just broken up with her lover.

On April 1, 2022, Malewu fatally shot Hondwana when he arrived at Dlamini’s home under the guise of visiting her. The court also heard that Dlamini, who opened the door, was shot and injured in the attack.

Kokama and Malewu were arrested on April 8, with Malewu confessing his role in the crime. Lesuhlo was later apprehended in February 2023. The murder was described as premeditated.
