Barely a year since becoming an act, DJ duo 2Faced, consisting of Slenda Da Dancing DJ and Thuli Phongolo, have reportedly split.

The separation comes after months of escalating tension. The DJ duo 2Faced burst into the spotlight in October 2023, bringing together two distinct musical genres: Amapiano and Gqom.
When they gained publicity on social media, some thought they were just another example of superficial female DJs who were after fame. Thuli and Slenda disregarded the naysayers and continued rocking the club scene.
2Faced Splits As Thuli Phongolo And Slenda Da Dancing DJ Brawl
Despite the successful collaboration, it appears internal conflicts between them have completely spoiled their relationship. According to a close friend on their team, Slenda and Thuli started having minor disagreements about bookings, choreography, and scheduling conflicts.
The source whispered to Zimoja that Thuli started spewing diva antics:
“Thuli somehow felt like she was responsible for Slenda’s fame, but she has been a dancer for a long time and is doing well at Afrotainment.”
The insider also pointed out that Slenda was doing most of the choreography and was considered the better DJ of the two:
“She works really hard, and there was always just so much drama with Thuli and her relationship issues. Slenda is tired of Thuli’s dramatic antics, and she thought it would work out, but…”

The Delayed Announcements Over A 2Faced Split
Slenda has since been accepting solo bookings, signalling the end of 2Faced. The two DJs have been giving each other silent treatment for some weeks now and they might soon officially announce their split.
“She’s moving on; she won’t wait for Thuli and her mood swings. Slenda has been taking solo bookings anyway; I think that says it all.”
Thuli declined to comment on the matter, but Slenda confirmed she has been focusing on her solo career.
I won’t get into 2Faced, but I have been taking solo gigs, and Thuli has been doing the same. She is my sister; there’s no beef,” Slenda clarified.
