Recently, Bonang Matheba celebrated her 37th birthday with an extravagant dinner party attended by family and close friends. In a surprising twist, she publicly introduced her boyfriend, David Phume, putting an end to nearly a year of rumours. David, a trailblazer in robotics, gifted the self-proclaimed ‘Queen B’ a luxury timepiece worth over R280,000.

According to ZiMoja, the couple’s passionate relationship began in 2023 when they were introduced by a mutual friend. Last October, they vacationed in Italy, further solidifying their bond. A close confidant shared that they have met each other’s families and that David intends to marry Bonang. “He knows what he wants,” the friend mentioned. “Bonang wouldn’t go public if she wasn’t serious. Her family knows him and supports their relationship.”
