How Isibaya’s Melusi Will Transition Into Mgijima
Siyabonga Thwala’s exit from Isibaya has left room for other character developments that we may never have expected and opened doors for other actors to join the soapie. His brother played by Thulani Mtshweni has lightened up the show with his humor that we haven’t experienced since season 1 when Mandla’s character was still new.
We’re also seeing his on-screen son’s; Melusi and Alex getting more on-screen time and more growth because of their father’s exit.
Melusi has been hectically annoying since the exit of his sister; Thandeka Zungu and since his father’s disappearance from the show.
The show has given his character more airtime because they want to elevate him into their zombie (Mgijima), since Alex Zungu is too young.
How IsibayalsMelusi Will Transition Into Mgijima This move sounds desperate, it would’ve made more sense if they mad Jabulani Zungu their next zombie (Mgijima).
For weeks they’ve been forcing Melusi down our throats, only to bring in Sunday Nkabinde to work with Ndlovu Samson to do what they did in previous seasons. What’s with the zombie script anyway?
Are the writers not willing to expand their creativity since the show might get cancelled in 2021? Has Bomb Productions not learned anything from their previous cancelled show; Isithembiso?
So how did we get to Melusi’s transition?
Melusi burned Samson Ndlovu’s 15 taxis. Samson works with Iris who is Melusi’s former. step-mother. Iris’s son; Alex has the same zombie-powers as his dad; Mpiyakhe Zungu who is also Melusi’s brother. The little boy already saw what’s about to happen to his brother; Melusi Zungu when he met up with Samson Ndlovu at his house.
Samson was pissed when he learned what Melusi did and ordered Nkabinde to turn Melusi into a zombie-like his father. Alex has the powers because he was conceived when his dad; Mpiyakhe was still Mgijima, before he healed.
Iris and Alex are the only ones who can save Melusi from Ndlovu and Nkabinde… I actually hope they don’t save him because he deserves everything that’s coming to him.
