“I Love SARS”: Dr Malinga Embraces SARS Repossession As Kids Turn Empty House into Racing Paradise
In an extraordinary turn of events, acclaimed musician Dr Malinga discovered unexpected joy and inspiration after the South African Revenue Services (SARS) took away his furniture.
Last year, Dr Malinga opened up about how SARS had seized his furniture and other valuable possessions in 2022 after he fell behind on tax payments amounting to a staggering R2.1 million.
However, the musician astonishingly expressed gratitude for this turn of events, explaining how the absence of furniture in his house led to an unexpected discovery.
The once-mundane living room of the hitmaker’s house has now transformed into a thrilling racetrack, where his children’s racing talents have come to life.
With an infectious enthusiasm, Dr Malinga shared his delight during an exclusive interview on the Popcorn and Cheese Podcast with Robot Boii and comedian Mpho Popps.
Amidst the empty halls of his home, Dr Malinga’s three children—Lingas, Legends, and Lingos, affectionately known as Triple L—unleashed their hidden talents. The musician proudly shared how he had gifted his children scooters, which they skillfully raced through the empty rooms.
“I bought my children scooters. They are three, Lingas, Legends, and Lingos, triple L. What I love about that house is that it’s empty. The emptiness of that house has resulted in my kids racing in the house.”
Dr Malinga expressed his unconventional gratitude to SARS for possessing his furniture.
“If SARS hadn’t taken my furniture, I wouldn’t have known that my children are good at racing. It’s now Kyalami Racing. So, I love SARS.”
