Idols SA Finalist Makes A Debut On The Queen
Idols SA season 14 finalist Nosipho Silinda has clinched herself an acting gig from The Queen.
She was called by the Fergusons to play the role of Cici.
Coincidentally, she is niece to songstress CiCi
The 20-year-old singer and songwriter was booted out of the top 10 Idols SA contestants in 2019 and never made a come back on the show again.
Instead, she focused more on music after being signed by Gallo Record Company where she released her single Thembalami and many other records.
She recently revealed that she was working on an album to be released in due course.
Nosipho, who has no experience or qualification in acting said she was excited about her new role as it could give her know-how of the entertainment industry.
“I was really excited when I was told I got the role because it’s a great opportunity for me to learn and grow in the entertainment industry. It’s always been the plan for me to do more than one thing,” she told Daily Sun.
Because she did not have any experience in acting, Nosipho revealed that she has relied more on Youtube videos that teach her a lot.
“I went over the script a million times and also practised in front of the mirror. I also watched the show just to get the feel of what exactly I needed to do,” she added.
Speaking about her role, Nosipho said she couldn’t wait for people to see how she could channel a completely different person.
