The funeral for Onthatile Chuene, controversial rapper Shebeshxt’s daughter, is taking place right now, and pictures from the sombre event are crushing.

The service is taking place in Lebowakgomo, Limpopo, where mourners, family, and friends are gathering to pay their final respects to the nine-year-old and support the artist during this heartbreaking time.
Onthatile tragically died in a car accident on 8 June while travelling to Lebowakgomo with Shebeshxt. The accident left Shebeshxt with bruises, internal bleeding, and an injured foot. However, family spokesman Lot Ramusi has assured that Shebeshxt’s foot is much better.
“He had dislocations. On one leg, they put steel in and fitted a moon boot. The leg is OK. He can step with both legs,” he said.
The family expects Shebeshxt, who was initially in ICU for about five days and is now recovering in a general ward, to attend the farewell of his daughter. Other celebrities like Dr Malinga are also in attendance.
Pictures circulating online showed the little coffin of Shebeshxt’s daughter at the front, with flowers, her portraits and artwork adorning the venue. Her coffin was themed with Disney’s Frozen animation.
Shebeshxt’s mother, Mpho Chauke, shared her grief, speaking fondly to Daily Sun of her granddaughter:
“I named her Onthatile, meaning God loves me. She was an apple of my eye. We used to share everything. She was so intelligent, always active and a lovely person. I’m shattered.”
