Battle Against Rumor Mill

This recent incident of false death claims is not the first time the talented artist has had to combat rumors about her well-being. Just weeks ago, she was falsely rumored to be in critical condition and hospitalized.

The acclaimed singer, known for her electrifying performances, was alleged to have been rushed to a private hospital in Durban after collapsing at her home.

The sources furthermore claimed that she has been battling depression and overwhelming stress ever since the untimely deaths of her husband, Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, and her mother-in-law in December 2022.

Additionally, the source claimed that Babes Wodumo has been neglecting her health, resulting in significant weight loss. There were also allegations of substance abuse, suggesting she has turned to drugs and alcohol as a means to cope with her grief.

Babes Wodumo Shuts Down Rumours

Babes Wodumo hit back at claims suggesting she is fighting for her life in a hospital bed.

She shut down the rumors and proved that she is alive, well, and as vibrant as ever as she shared a video of herself seated in a car, singing along to a pulsating beat.

In the midst of the rumors, Nondumiso Simelane clarified that Babes Wodumo’s hospitalization was not due to critical illness, but rather to exhaustion and dehydration. She firmly denied any allegations of drug and alcohol abuse, dismissing them as unfounded lies.
