Jub Jub Refutes Rape Claims, Accuses Amanda Du-Pont of Seeking Revenge For Exposing Her Affair With a Famous Rapper
Rapper and TV presenter Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye has vehemently denied the rape allegations made by actress Amanda du Pont, claiming that she is attempting to tarnish his image and reputation.
In a heated Instagram video response on Friday, Jub Jub asserted that he had consensual relations with Amanda Du-Pont during their dating days and accused her of being upset over his revelation about her cheating with another famous rapper.

Last year, Amanda Du-Pont emotionally accused Jub Jub of rape and attempted murder in a video following his controversial interview with MacG on Podcast and Chill.
During the interview, Jub Jub made derogatory remarks about Amanda Du-Pont and other women, leading her to speak out about her experiences.
Amanda Du-Pont bravely revealed that she endured multiple instances of rape, physical abuse, and threats from Jub Jub between 2006 and 2009 when they were in a relationship.
She shared her struggles in trying to report the incidents to the police at the time, only to be turned away. Her decision to come forward was sparked by hearing Jub Jub’s comments on the podcast, where he made suggestive remarks about their past relationship.
Jub Jub’s Counterclaims: Accusing Her of Infidelity with Cassper Nyovest
Dismissing Amanda Du-Pont’s allegations as “false” and “malicious,” Jub Jub denied ever committing any acts of rape or abuse. According to News24, he accused her of being unfaithful with rapper Cassper Nyovest and claimed to have exposed her infidelity in his song “Ndikhokhele,” where he rapped:
“You slept with my friend while I was in prison / You even had the nerve to bring him to my house.”
Standing Firm: Jub Jub’s Confidence in Innocence
Despite the seriousness of the charges, Jub Jub displayed confidence in his innocence, stating that he had nothing to hide from the law.
He willingly surrendered to the police after a warrant for his arrest was issued, and he appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court on the same day, where he was granted bail of R10,000.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) confirmed that Jub Jub is facing three counts of rape, two counts of attempted murder, and one count of assault based on the complaints of four women, including du Pont, who alleged they were victimized while in a relationship with him.
Jub Jub’s legal battle is set to continue as he is scheduled to appear in court again on 24 August 2023. Despite the charges and public scrutiny, he remains unwavering in his belief that he will be cleared of all accusations, claiming to have evidence to support his innocence. Additionally, he expressed confidence that his TV show Uyajola would not be affected by the ongoing legal proceedings.
