Kaizer Chiefs Release A Statement To PSL

Kaizer Chiefs has taken a proactive step by issuing a formal letter of apology in response to the regrettable conduct exhibited by a segment of their fans during the recent showdown against TS Galaxy.

In a disappointing turn of events, enraged Chiefs supporters resorted to hurling objects towards head coach Molefi Ntseki following Amakhosi’s narrow 1-0 defeat at Mbombela Stadium.

The club promptly confirmed, through their adept communications manager, Vina Maphosa, that fortunately, no injuries were sustained.

However, the club didn’t shy away from acknowledging the gravity of the situation and promptly pleaded guilty when faced with charges brought forth by PSL prosecutor Zola Majavu.

Majavu imposed a fine of R100,000 on the club, with R30,000 of that amount suspended for a 24-month period.

Additionally, the club was mandated to issue a written apology to both the league and its sponsors, which would also be prominently featured on their official website a responsibility that Kaizer Chiefs has now duly fulfilled.

Here is the comprehensive apology issued by Kaizer Chiefs:
