Kidnapping Caught On Camera| Cape Town Businessman Muneeb Ismail Taken In Brazen Daylight Attack
After being kidnapped from his office by three suspects, the family of Muneeb Ismail, a prominent businessman in Cape Town, was relieved to hear that he had been found just hours later.
Muneeb Ismail was fortunately found hours later, having been dumped in Khayelitsha.
After this traumatic experience, he received medical care at a nearby facility.
The perpetrators were seen calmly leaving the motor spares store with Ismail and fleeing the scene of the crime in a white Mercedes-Benz vehicle, as shown by CCTV footage.
Mfuleni police reported that Muneeb Ismail, who is 27 years old, was abducted from the office of Silversands Motor Spares between 11:00 and 13:00.
Muneeb Ismail’s Family Speaks After Kidnapping
In an interview with TygerBurger, Shubnam Soeker, Ismail’s sister, expressed her shock and devastation at the event, stating that her family had never imagined they would have to deal with such a situation.
“We never thought that this would happen to our family,” she said.
Soeker also mentioned that the kidnappers did not contact their family to demand a ransom.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Malcolm Pojie has confirmed that the police are investigating the incident and are working to bring the perpetrators to justice.
A manhunt has been launched for the three suspects who kidnapped Muneeb Ismail, and experienced detectives have been assigned to the case.
“Seasoned detectives attached to the Western Cape Provincial Detectives have been assigned to probe the kidnapping of a 26-year-old businessman at a business premises in Nooiensfontein Road in Silversands (on) Thursday, March 23. Preliminary investigation suggests that three armed men entered the premises, looking for the owner, who was not at the shop at the time. They then got hold of the 26-year-old victim and forced him into a white Mercedes-Benz that was parked outside the shop, in which they fled the scene,” Lieutenant-Colonel Malcolm Pojie said.
