King Monada In Another No-Show Despite R60K Payment

King Monada finds himself in the spotlight once more, but this time for all the wrong reasons. This time, he is being accused of failing to fulfil a gig for which he was fully compensated.

Just recently, King Monada faced backlash for neglecting to compensate security personnel and bouncers who ensured safety at his One-Man performance in Seshego, Limpopo. After days of having his name dragged online, King Monada finally did the right thing and paid them.

King Monada Faces Gig Another No-show Controversy

Now, King Monada, born Khutso Steven Kgatle, is being accused by Sasha Lifestyle in Thembisa, Johannesburg, for refusing to refund their R60,000 after missing a gig in December.

The management at Sasha Lifestyle has revealed that they have been tirelessly trying to get in touch with King Monada and his team for the past month and a half in hopes of receiving a refund for the booking fee. However, their pleas have fallen on deaf ears. This failure to return the money has put Sasha Lifestyle in a difficult position as it tarnishes its reputation with its clientele.

Initially, they proposed rescheduling the performance, but King Monada failed to respond.

“We are considered liars by our clientele who trust us,” Sasha’s management said before adding, “Our people come for the great service, the amazing music and great food while they chill and have their cars washed. There are very few artists who don’t live up to their word. We first offered that King Monada come back to the venue at a later date but he has been ignoring all communication.”

A Pattern of No-Shows

This is not the first time that King Monada has failed to show up for a paid gig. During the holiday season, he was a no-show at the highly anticipated Limpopo Legends Awards (Lila) in Polokwane, which led to threats of legal action. Albert Makwela, Monada’s manager, has stated that he will investigate the matter, as he does not recall owing anyone any funds.

It remains to be seen how King Monada will address this latest controversy and whether he will take responsibility for his actions.
