The Lion King Star Lebo M Faces Accusations of Abuse from Estranged Wife
The Lion King composer Lebo M is facing abuse allegations from his estranged wife, Pretty Samuels.
These accusations surfaced as part of Pretty’s application for a protection order, which she submitted against Lebo M, whose real name is Lebohang Morake. The protection order request was filed at the Randburg magistrate’s court in August.

Pretty Describes Alleged Abuse By Lebo M
In her application, Pretty recounts a troubling incident that occurred in July when she travelled to KwaZulu-Natal to seek support and advice from her parents regarding her troubled marriage. Prior to her departure, Lebo M reportedly demanded that she vacate their residence in Waterfall Estate, Johannesburg.
According to an exclusive report by Sunday World, she said:
“While with my family in KwaZulu-Natal, I received a communication from the complex manager. He told me that my husband had ordered him to cancel my access to the complex with immediate effect. I wrote back to him and told him that he has no right to take me out of my home and that he should not follow my husband’s instructions.
“When I came back from KwaZulu-Natal, he only allowed me to take a few of my clothes under the watchful eye of a domestic worker, like a thief. I’m advised it is an act of domestic violence for my husband to kick me out of the house like this and am asking for the court to protect me from the abuse I am suffering.”
Samuels also voiced her concerns about Lebo M using the media to target her and spread false information that harms her reputation.
Marital Strife Unfolds
In August, Lebo M publicly disclosed his intention to initiate divorce proceedings against his wife, Pretty Samuels. He accused her of getting life insurance policies in his name without his consent, alleging that she used his digital signature for this purpose.
