Shebeshxt’s Legal Troubles Mount as Court Demands Medical Proof for Missed Court Appearance
Controversial rapper Shebeshxt Chauke finds himself in deeper legal waters as the Lebowakgomo Regional Court in Limpopo has demanded he produce a doctor’s note for missing a court appearance.
The court is scrutinizing his reasons for not attending, stemming from injuries he sustained in a recent tragic accident.

Shebeshxt Alleged Crimes and Arrest
According to Zimoja, Shebeshxt’s legal woes stem from 2022 when he allegedly stabbed two individuals in separate incidents in Lebowakgomo. After his arrest in April last year, he spent several months in custody before being granted bail in July.
He now faces charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and attempted murder.
Court Seeks Proof of Illness
Shebeshxt was due to appear in court to face the charges but missed the proceedings, citing injuries from a recent car accident.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson, Mashudu Malabi-Dzangi, provided details on the current stage of the legal proceedings.
“Chauke is facing serious charges. However, he was unable to attend court due to injuries sustained in an accident last month,” said Malabi-Dzangi.
The court had scheduled a pre-trial appearance, but Shebeshxt was represented in absentia by his legal team. The defense argued that their client’s health issues prevented his attendance and requested more time to submit medical proof.
As a result, the Lebowakgomo Regional Court in Limpopo has ordered Shebeshxt to produce a doctor’s note explaining his absence from court.
“The court postponed that matter to 19 July 2024 to enable him to provide medical certificates,” Malabi-Dzangi added.
Additional Investigation for Culpable Homicide
Beyond these charges, Shebeshxt is also under investigation for culpable homicide following a tragic car accident near Polokwane that resulted in the death of his eight-year-old daughter.
